If the sauce gets too thick add a little more milk. add the cheese. You can get this sliced at the deli, and just put it in, no grating involved. It HAS to be the cooper sharp, nothing else will do ) pour macs into a roasting pan and pour cheese sauce over. bake for one half hour. Like 10 minutes before macs are done very very lightly sprinkle, and I say lightly, a dusting of bread crumbs. ) This was my grandmom's recipe. My mom has a delicious one too, I will post it tomorrow, that one is for spaghetti and cheese, and much different but just as yummy. Thanks for asking and blessings, Chanda - GeminiDragon Thursday, March 24, 2005 7:53 PM Re: Ostara (easter) feast mac & cheese Hi Chanda send in your mac & cheese recipe, pretty please.......................Donna Chanda/Maria <puterwitch wrote:had our Easter dinner last night as my hubby and daughter will be gone for Easter, soooooo they had ham also, but I had all the other goodies: asparagus, homemade mac and cheese (mine is the best) stewed tomatoes, baked apples, pineapple stuffing, and baked beans. all very much to yum about ) Blessings, Chanda - organic_homestead Thursday, March 24, 2005 4:56 PM Ostara (easter) feast Although we do not celebrate easter in the religious sense, we are getting together with my dad. I'd like to have it center around food; but James and I will need to bring something if we want to eat. What are some of you making? I was thinking maybe a quiche; I like making quiche with smoked gouda, it makes it taste like it has bacon in it. And of course, asparagus is finally in season!
