Guest guest
Hello all! It's been pretty quiet over here. Well, I've been plugging away at improving my bread making skills and was pretty successful making an orange poppy seed bread. I've also finally found out the difference between " bread machine " yeast and regular yeast. So, I guess I'll break down and buy that even though it is a little bit more expensive. But it sure feels good to have a loaf come out right! My Guineas love the bread! I've been feeding what's leftover from the other loaves. I can almost get a few to take it out of my hand. So, very nice weather predicted for the weekend. Perhaps that will get me out of my cooking slump. The last two weeks I just haven't really been in the mood to cook. Guest guest
Hi Denise. Was that recipe for orange poppy seed bread a sweet bread recipe? Sounds very interesting. ~ pt ~ , " organic_homestead " < organic_homestead> wrote: > Well, I've been plugging away at improving my bread making skills and > was pretty successful making an orange poppy seed bread. > > I've also finally found out the difference between " bread machine " > yeast and regular yeast. Guest guest
Yes, it is a sweet bread. I got the recipe from my bread machine booklet (which I downloaded from the Internet). The actual recipe was for an Orange-Anise bread, but I didn't have anise. I think next time I might add some almond extract and use more poppy seeds. I'll post the recipe when I have it with me (I'm at work right now). Denise , " ~ PT ~ " <patchouli_troll> wrote: > > Hi Denise. Was that recipe for orange poppy > seed bread a sweet bread recipe?
