Hi all. I've got a package of baby bellas and a package of regular

mushrooms. I'm looking to do something with them. Any idears?

I'd prefer anything that can be made in a skillet or a crockpot (no

baking).

Someone was also nice enough to tell me about Kombu. I've got a

package of that and am looking for something to do with it (perhaps

with the mushroom dish?). I've got some thai peppers and some chile

soy sauce and jarred ginger that could go with it.

Thanks for any mushroom idears (which don't have to involve those

other ingredients),

Shawn :)

hamburgers! well, portaburgers. marinate in some Italian dressing and fry or

grill, top with anything you would top a burger with. :o)

hey shawn,

i'll often cook up a batch of onions, bell peppers and

mushrooms (1 large onion, 1 large bell, and a package

of mushrooms)in a little butter and season with garlic

salt. i use that mixture to make quesadillas, to fill

omelets, to fill burritos (along with beans, rice,

cheese, and lots of salsa), to top pizzas, and to put

in sandwiches and wraps (one of my faves...grilled

eggplant with the mushroom mixture topped with an

olive salad (muffaletta)and swiss cheese).

i also love mushroom barley soup (i think i have

posted one to the group..check the files). oh, and

don't forget that mushroom stroganoff.

hope this gives you some ideas!

susie

ps...good luck with the kombu...blech.
