Guest guest
Hi Shawn, Saute them in olive oil with onions and add a little teriyaki and put over rice.................It'sd Donna (the one that gave you the kombu info) matrixenos <matrixenos wrote: Hi all. I've got a package of baby bellas and a package of regular mushrooms. I'm looking to do something with them. Any idears? I'd prefer anything that can be made in a skillet or a crockpot (no baking). Someone was also nice enough to tell me about Kombu. I've got a package of that and am looking for something to do with it (perhaps with the mushroom dish?). I've got some thai peppers and some chile soy sauce and jarred ginger that could go with it. Thanks for any mushroom idears (which don't have to involve those other ingredients), Shawn
Guest guest
Hi Donna! You were using a different email addy so I wasn't sure. Too cool. Tonight I will be breaking out the mushrooms and Kombu, checking out what else I have and brewing something up. Thank you all for the ideas - I've saved them. Chanda, excellent idea on the bella burgers. If these were big and not baby bellas, I'd grill them outside like I've done once before with teryaki sauce, garlic and oil. Jiraph, casseroles rock - I don't know what the deal is with them they are just so good. Thank you PT for the yummy mushrooms on toast recipe. Susie, thanks for all of those ideas. I checked the group before lunch yesterday and I swear my stomach started growling as soon as I read your post (grrrowwlll). One day I will be trying that Stroganoff recipe of yours that I have been wanting to for months. Thanks again Donna for the recipe idea and the Kombu information. I really hope I like it. Now that I know the white part is the natural salt, i wished that I had gotten one that was all white - LOL. Here I was looking for one with the least at one point. Guest guest
Hi Shawn, yes, 2 email addresses as this one email box can only collect so much. LOL Listen there a good idea for you with your mushrooms. get a package of udon Japanese noodles in the refrigerator section by the tofu in most markets. I don't use the flavor packet since it usualy has MSG. Make a soup base up and slice the portabello mushrooms and toss in with some bok choy and other veggies of your choice. The noodles will only take 2-3 minutes to cook. This is a fast delicious meal. Put some kombu in the soup base also. Enjoy your yummy meal. I make this and take for lunch quite often. Peace, Donna matrixenos <matrixenos wrote: Hi Donna! You were using a different email addy so I wasn't sure. Too cool.
