Guest guest
I saw this posted in a magazine by Nori Tofu and was anxious to try it. I saw one for the pie and one they posted for the brownie. Sounds great I will try it soon....Donna organic_homestead <organic_homestead wrote: Well, last night I made a dairy free chocolate cream pie. I've never ventured into the silky tofus before and I'm really impressed! I found the recipe from a Mori-Nu advertisement. Maybe now this will get me to try other desserts or smoothies. The only thing I did wrong was forget the vanilla, but it still tastes great, just not sweet. Really it tastes just like semi-sweet chocolate, which I love! Here's the recipe: 12 oz semi-sweet dark chocolate chips (I used Nestle brand) 1 tsp vanilla 2 pks Mori-Nu Silken Lite Extra Firm (I used on Lite Firm and one Regular Extra Firm) 9-inch pie crust, if desired (I used a graham cracker crust) Melt chocolate in microwave over with 2 tablespoons of water. Thoroughly blend tofu in a blender or food processor. Add melted chocolate and vanilla to the tofu and blend at high speed for 2 minutes. Pour mixture into pie crust or pudding cups. Refrigerate 1-2 hours. Garnish as desired, such as raspberries. There is a small increase in fat and calories. Now I'll need to browse the dessert recipe files! Denise
