Guest guest
Thanks for the inspiration. You and Donna make this sound so easy and delicious. i am definately going to use my Bob's Red Mill tvp this week and let you know how it goes. Has anyone every used this product in tacos or burritos before? ~ pt ~ replying to this digest post: " organic_homestead " <organic_homestead Re: Bob's Red Mill TVP -Hi Donna & PT Hey I made this concoction the other night and it was really good and extremely filling. I sauteed the onions and garlic added just under a cup of Bob's TVP, stirred that up, then added about 3/4 c water. Mixed that up and then added the canned tomatoes. Of course, seasonings, such as red pepper flakes, fresh ground pepper and italian seasoning. When the rice was almost done, I added some medium sized broccoli florets to the TVP mixture and put a lid on to let it steam. Served it over rice. James added some Thai dipping sauce to his portion. I add some more hot sauce. Perfect one bowl meal!
Guest guest
Yes, my nephew gets the little taco seasong packets at the market and he puts the TVP in it as it cooks. He then makes tacos or burritos. I don't use those because most have MSG but I'm sure Wild Oats or Whole Fodos has taco flavor packets and you can add the TVP to it. I make potato tacos, have you ever made those? They are yummy too. I make Mexican rice and add TVP as it cooks and use that for my taco, burrito and enchilada filling. Enjoy the dish, it really is easy, filling and delicious...Donna ~ PT ~ <patchouli_troll wrote: Thanks for the inspiration.
