Guest guest
I've been on this list a while, but haven't posted much. This is something they do in Japan (I spent 10 months there) and I thought I'd share it with the list. Try cutting cold firm or medium tofu into small cubes and putting it on your salad. Any kind of salad will work with this - though a good, spicy dressing or some herbs is nice on top. The tofu will absorb the flavour of whatever you put on it, especially strong ones(carrots, peppers, dressings, etc). It's a good way to get your protein, and it's really nice and cool in the summer. It's best if you put the tofu on the salad when it's on your plate, just before you eat it, but it can be put on salad in the dish too. Just be careful when tossing that you don't slaughter the tofu into crumbly bits (unless that's what you want, but it can taste too much like tofu). Make sure to cover your salad with plastic wrap or a lid when it's in the fridge to keep the tofu from drying out, and watch the expiry date. Peace out, Lily Frost
