Guest guest
Hi, Many years ago when I lived with my Granny (I was a child then), she had a spread she got from the UK that she said a lot of people liked there. I finally remembered the name! It was " Gentleman's Relish " . Its not vegetarian though since it has anchovies in it. Here is some information about the spread (this site has recipes) http://www.elsenham.com/patum.htm " Patum Peperium was invented in 1828 by an Englishman called John Osborn. The original " Gentleman's Relish " made from a blend of anchovies, butter, exotic herbs and spices. This classic recipe has remained a secret over the years, passed down through generations by word of mouth. Today, this delicacy is only made at Elsenham where the original recipe is still in use. " Kind regards, M.
