It is quite a strong taste, and you sure notice if you spread it too thick on your bread. But the weird part is - I can't actually explain what it tastes like, I don't even know. It just tastes like..... vegemite )). I guess it must be salty/yeasty, and if you have tried marmite I guess it can be compared to that but much much nicer.
