Guest guest
i have been quite busy of late and didn't have the chance to wish everyone a Happy New Year and Bright Blessings this Hogmanay. i hope you all enjoyed the peace and warmth this holiday season brings. i hope your year to come holds many more blessings than the year past and stays bright with promise. For our Yuletide meal i fixed a Tofurky roast that i had purchased. i had never tried one before and was curious having heard so many positive things about it. Well, quite truthfully it didn't please my palate. The texture was nice, the stuffing in it was delicious, but i found the over all flavor of this analog lacking something. It also gave me a bit of indigestion! *lol* Oh well... taste is so subjective. i am glad there is a vegan alternative available that so many others can enjoy. For myself i shall stick to the Quorn brand roast that i have enjoyed in the past or make my own nut loaf for future holiday meals. Oh, i just loved the Tofurky brand giblet gravy that i purchased separately. Now that stuff was good. i am definately going to head back to the store that stocks tofurky and buy a few more. My omnivore family members even enjoyed it! ~ pt ~ Sometime they'll give a war and nobody will come. ~ Carl Sandburg, poet and biographer (1878-1967)
