Guest guest
I had also heard that lots of gelatin was made from orange pectin and that most companies used pectin instead of animal bones just because it was cheaper. I just had this revelation after reading an article about Ingrid something from PETA. Instead of trying to convince people that eating animals is unhealthy or morally wrong because of the abuse, the animal rights movement should just find ways to make animal cruelty economically unfeasible. Unfortunately, money talks louder than morals. Once the cost of animal abuse makes it economically unfeasible, then people might start to listen to the moral side of the issue with a bit more open mind? Then again, I have my degree from UChicago, so I might be too prone toward thinking about everything vis a vis the economy. Just a thought?
