Guest guest
talk about showing off! I bought a juicer, LOL. It's great!! made carrot apple ginger today, and soon I will start the serious stuff like broccoli. Also, I made a vegetable stock for the first time that was out of this world. Someone said not to add cabbage cause it is too strong, but I really love cabbage, so I added just one big leaf. I used sweet and red potatoes, carrots, broccoli, onion, garlic, lettuce, and then I even threw in a can of peas. I added a little oregano and some basil, twice the basil that I used for the oregano, some olive oil, and an apple. cooked the stock for about 5 hours on super low and then strained it. It was better than any chicken stock I ever had. Then I made soup out of it. I added asparagus, cabbage, macaroni and carrots. My daughter loved it, she is 7! LOL, it's really fun. Couldn't wait to tell her dad, The meat bully, that she had eaten a bowl of veggie soup. Then he ate crow, ar ar ar. Blessings, and thanks to the group for helping in my new start in life, Chanda/Maria - ~ PT ~ Thursday, December 16, 2004 8:42 PM Re: [recipe request] tahini dipping sauce? Yes, it helps a lot. Thanks! Sounds very easy and delicious. It is always fun to bring something different to these parties since i am the only vegetarian in the group. i like to show off a bit, i admit, mostly to prove to them we don't eat only boring iceberg salads etc. *lol*
