Guest guest
I am going to Nirvana- a veggie indian restaurant in DC today with some friends. I don't go out to lunch much but we decided to try this - as it got good reviews and the office is having a pizza lunch (a. I do not even eat cheese pizza and cannot stand to look at " meatlovers " ) today. Andrea

They have a daily buffet -each day a different region of India -but one day is " savouries " . We were there for South Indian- it was very good and they had the small table- served masala dosas. The buffet is $9.95 and had two soups, three dishes- two curries and a green bean dish, two rices -plain and a peanutty sort, idlis and mini puris, and a dessert. The place is very nice- and the staff very helpful(we were able to ask for a second " round " of the small masala dosas). Of course for really big veggie Indian buffets, you have to get to Woodlands in Langley Park on the weekend or federal holidays-I think they do the big buffet on fed holidays- because that is when I go thrift shopping in Langley Park and eat at Woodlands. Woodlands is much more barebones than Nirvana(and much, much larger) but pleasant. Andrea
