Enjoy >Sunday, Donna I'm not Melissa, but I do have a *fabulous* recipe for them. I got the recipe from a Romanian woman who says they make it for Christmas dinner since they rarely have meat or dairy and this is fabulous without it. Trust me, it's incredible. Romanian Stuffed Cabbage 3 onions, chopped 2 stalks celery, diced 1 carrot, diced salsa(1 jar) 1 lb chopped mushrooms 1/2 cup rice 1 cabbage salt pepper 1 tsp dill 2 tsp caraway seeds 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tsp basil a big can tomato juice Boil cabbage head till leaves are easy to remove. Cook rice. Fry other veggies in a little oil. Add spices and soy sauce. Cook 6-10 minutes. Add rice and most of the salsa. Cook 5 min. Roll in cabbage leaves. Place in a glass baking pan. Cover in tomato juice and remaining salsa. Bake (or microwave for our friend without an oven) till done. You could probably do the rest in a microwave too if you have to.
