Guest guest
My niece just made this drink from your recipe the other day. We both agree, it's takes the desire for sugar away and it's very tasty..................Thanks, Donna Klara LeVine <klara_levine wrote: Message: 23 Fri, 10 Dec 2004 19:13:26 -0000 " Judy " <jkyrala2 Re: Digest Number 1074 1/4 c. of each vegetable (onions, carrots, cabbage, pumpkin) plus 3 or 4 c. of water. Blend it and simmer for 1/2 an hour. I didn't have pumpkin today but used sweet potato with a little tamari instead - it was good too. or try this link /database? method=reportRows & tbl=1 Hi Judy, That was sweet of you (pun intended) to post the recipe. But the recipe I shared was a little different. The vegetables are NOT blended or even eaten. Only the liquid is drunk after the vegetables are drained. All the sweetness is taken from the vegetables and cooked into the liquid. Again, this is a fine point and may be of interest only to those on a macrobiotic diet who wish to effect more calmness into their lives, or to get off sweets. Also as the point is to be sweet, we don't put either salt or tamari into it. Of course all variations I'm sure would be tasty. My point was more the effect of the food. Thanks.
