I agree on being tolerant. I feel most people don't understand our way of

eating but they make an effort to please us when possible. Yesterday at our

company potluck one woman made Philippino rice noodle pancit and put some in a

special container for me before she added chicken to the main dish and the next

woman made me 3 vegetable eggrolls before she added the shredded beef for the

others and another woman pulled a meatball out of the spaghetti for me.LOL I

brought that home for my nephew who does eat meat since the meatball cooked in

the sauce. I think they try hard. I always take a tasty vegetarian dish and

keep the recipe in my purse. Know what? There are always at least 2-3 people

that ask for a copy by the time the potluck is over. I'm here in L.A. and it's a

melting pot of many cultures and that's the fun part. I learn how to cook a new

vegetable that is foreign to me almost everytime I shop in an Asian market and

there's a little middle eastern market down the steet

and the owner taught me how to make baklava and gave me a sample of some

awesome incense to try.

I find a lot of people are jealous of the Jews.

In my community it is hard to find a Jew that is not successful, and is

not hated because of it by someone.

Blessings,

That's funny. In my community there are lots of Jew who are struggling to make

a living.

I don't have the answers to anti-semitism or to hatred of any kind. But we do

live in an imperfect world and the best we can do is to try to make it better in

whatever ways we know how. In my own world I am struggling with not being

judgmental. It's hard to find others who eat as I would like to (tho gratefully

we can find each other) but I live with meat eaters, and I feel it's my personal

journey to accept each person fully. I'm working on that. It's a lifetime

challenge.
