Learned my lesson

Gosh, I caved in a drank a frappuccino last night and that was the

WORST pain I have felt in my life. I had all dairy out of my system,

and I'm lactose intolerant anyway, so I think I'm done with milk for

good. OMGoodness, I could even move. I felt like I had been skewered

right through my intestines, and that is not an understatement. I've

had 3 Cesareans, and nothing I have ever felt, not even my

appendicitis, was that bad. Soooo, one tiny step closer to vegetarianism.

I've pretty much given up beef. It's been weeks since I ate any, and

it didn't taste very good to me. Once I get more tofu in the house,

it will be easier for me to give up meat. I love tofu (if I cook it

right, lol). It's great in stir fry.

I did really well Thursday and Friday. I had an apple for breakfast

both mornings, and didn't eat meat at all (until today, I must admit I

had a hot dog... the WORST meat of all... ugh). It didn't taste that

good, and my stomach is feeling uneasy, so I don't think those will be

a habit from now on, either.

Would anyone like to be my email penpal and give me the encouragement

to give up these foods? I'm getting more in tune with what my body

needs in it, and I know it doesn't need other animals. Now, I want to

make it clear that I don't need someone to lecture me when I weaken.

I actually would like for someone to point out facts about different

meats that I might not know. Well, I guess I could get that from the

entire group, lol. I do know that these animals suffer needlessly and

that meat is bad for the body anyway, which is why I want to give it

up. When I don't eat meat, I have more energy, I can think more

clearly, I feel better in nearly every way, and I *know* it's because

factory farmers are pumping these animals full of chemicals and

steroids to make them produce more meat. By the way, I would prefer a

femail email penpal, if anyone is interested... my hubby hasn't shown

any signs of jealousy, but out of consideration to him, I try to keep

correspondence with other females.

God bless.

Sincerely,

Lorelei

You're doing GREAT! I'd be happy to be your email pal if you want to. If

you have any cooking questions, throw them my way...I've cooked for a veg

restaurant and worked as a personal chef for a vegan, too. :) I promise to

be encouraging, not scolding. :)
