One of the big ones near us (Petsmart) has a connection with a local group that foster's stray animals and hooks them up with families...they interview the families before letting them take cats. You might also search on line for help...maybe under foster pets?? My hubby and I, way back when, got a kitty thru a similar group - they had cats in a mall & were trying to find them homes, but the cats were being kept by foster families - it was not thru the humane society. m Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
