Hi there,

I'm Suzie. I'm 26 and I live in West Texas. Since my return from

Durango, CO, about 6 years ago (seems longer than that), I've been

fascinated with the idea of going totally veggie. There were SO many

people there who cooked so well and never used meat at all! And a good

friend of mine (Mary was her name) ate no animal products at all (vegan,

right?). For the last 3-4 years, I've lived alone and have toyed with

the idea of going all veggie, but I've never had the ... guts, maybe ...

to do it. I didn't know if I was a " good enough " cook to do it.

Then out of the blue, I found this message board, and Mary emailed me on

about the right time frame with all these memories and it all hit me at

once -- now or never.

So now I've been about three days with no meat, and you know what? I'm

not missing it. At all! It's not really a anti-meat thing, but a

lifestyle thing. I feel greasy. not dirty but greasy. Make sense? My

dr (NOT veggie) said " you're eating too much grease. Quit eating meat

for awhile and quit eating out. NO JOKE! so. I'm here and I'm doing

well so far. Any totally easy ideas are welcome! the french bread

sandwich is in line for lunch. Will give my report later!

Thanks for the list,

Suzie

I guess that depends on your kind of eating out. I love to eat out -

for the veggie options. There are many talented chefs out there taht

do great stuff with veggies. I love Indian food - there are 100%

veggie restaurants where I can try without fear & with out messing it

up at home first. (I now cook my own Indian food, but only after I

get a taste of what is should taste like.)
