Guest guest
sorry, i sent it too early the first time/... speaking of pesto, my mom has a recipe and it's amazing... once i tasted homemade i couldn't eat storebought 2/3 c. of fresh basil 1/3 c. walnuts 2 cloves of garlic (don't but in more, it gets too garlicky, even for me!) 1/3 c olive oil 1/2 c parmesan cheese combine in food processor and process until smooth-ish. heat and spread on pasta (especially good with tortellini) this can be frozen for a couple months or refrigerated this might not be the right time of year to get fresh basil, but it's delicious if you can! (extra pesto will store in the fridge with a thin layer of olive oil on top). Spread the pesto generously on the crust. Add whatever toppings you like. Mushrooms, olives, onions, grated carrot, whatever. I've never tried it with pineapple. You can use walnuts or hazelnuts instead of pine nuts but it is nicer with pine nuts. Some of the commercial pestos work well too. , " Thompson, Debra lee " <Debrathompson@f...> wrote: > I have found that a pizza with just extra tomato sauce and heaps of > veggies (tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, jalapenos, mushrooms, black > olives and green olives; plus pineapple when I'm in the mood for it) > more than satisfies my pizza craving without any cheese:) My favorites > place to get one is called Mr. Gatti's Pizza.
