Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Frequently yes,

though. Thai, tabasco peppers, tepin, pequin,

etc. are small (usually) and usually hotter than

larger peppers, including green and red bell

peppers, jalapeno, etc. However habanero peppers,

which are a bit bigger than the aforementioned small

are normally hottest of all.

thanks, I heard a thoery once that the smaller jalapenos (Without

even getting into other varieties) are hotter, becasue the hottness

does not have the same amount of flesh to go to.... I also heard that

smaller strawberries are sweeter for the same reasons. In the bigger

strawberries, the sweetness has to go further. - Kind of like watered

down soup..... JUST WHAT I HAVE HEARD.

Hm, I hadn't heard this particular theory and must admit to not

really tasting it to be true in my own garden. However I also

must admit to not doing any testing. So, now I have something

to do next summer (well, something in addition to fixing all the

irrigation drip lines the new puppy tore up, planting all the vegetables

and annuals, replanting some perennials that this bizarre early frost

has killed off, etc., etc., etc., )

Thanks for the info.
