I LOVE almond milk!!!! I think it's the best thing out there:) I wish

they made ice cream, but for that I love Tofutti - my fave is the

Vanilla Swiss Almond Bark:)

i live in Minneapolis- it's pretty easy to find veggie friendly

restaurants

and meat alternatives here. i know a lot of people think of minneapolis

as

just another cornfield but --surprise, it's a fabulous place to be a

vegetarian! . i am a lacto-ovo vegetarian but am slowly making my way

to a

more vegan diet. not sure if i'll ever make it 100% but i'm going to

try.

i don't eat eggs that often and when i do, i stick to cage free. i've

recently discovered the goodness of almond milk. that was huge for

getting

off dairy. soy milk has a weird aftertaste and rice milk is watery and

sweet. almond milk is just about perfect for my taste. anyone else

like

it?

 

anyway-- i just joined this group and have really enjoyed what i've read

so

far.

I am pretty new to this board, but thought it sounded very interesting.

My husband and I were Vegan for 4 years before slipping with some

dairy for several months, fish here and there. I am rededicating to

Veganism. We just moved 3 months ago from San Diego, CA to North

Carolina. Challenging finding healthy choices, but there IS a Whole

Foods about 35 minutes away. My kids are not strictly vegetarian, but I

wish they were.
