Guest guest
Good suggestion Debra... I forgot to mention that i like to grind flax seeds in my little coffeebean grinder and add them when cooking steel-cut oats or raw muesli. I must have been a bird in another life since I like hemp seeds, sunflower seeds, fennel, sesame, flax, etc. beside all kinds of nuts! Does anyone had a good recipe for nut curry for rice? I am thinking of using tahini with peanut butter.... <Debrathompson@f...> wrote: > Have you tried working low-glycemic foods into your diet? I used to have blood sugar swings, but found that by combining grains and legumes or nuts in my meals, it's steady sailing! You have to go whole grain - no refined or stripped grains. Guest guest
Cool Idea! What type of nuts would you want to use? I'd bet we could put our heads together and come up with something absolutely wonderful!!! I think cashews would be in order if you are wanting an Indian curry!! You can get the plain, non-salted ones in the Indian grocers. I'd toast them before putting them in the curry sauce. Do you prefer your curries vindaloo-style or milder? Some sesame seeds would be nice in it too:) I also forgot to mention the flax seeds - I keep some cold milled ones in my fridge to sprinkle on oatmeal, tofutti, soy yogurts, etc:) Great Omega-3s!!!
