Guest guest
Possibly at IKEA, but I've found it at Super Target in the deli/fresh produce area. A friend also has found it at Tom Thumb stores. Look for a 2 1/2 " - 3 " square cube. The wrapper is bright red:) It will look like a large cube of peanut butter when you unwrap it. Tips on serving Gjetost: slice it VERY thinly - it can be over-powering if you don't. It's WONDERFUL with dried apples:) Also, I baked an apple crisp over the holiday, and offered thin slices of the cheese to go along with it. Guest guest
Peter - That would be the same cheese, just a slightly different spelling:) The stuff here in the States adds the " j " possibly for pronunciation purposes; otherwise we'd most likely use a hard " G " . I live in Sweden (one of the Scandinavian countries) and the only thing I've heard about is " getost " (goat chesse). Peter -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: Amy P.
