Guest guest
I raised my nephew and he was spoiled by burgers at field trips, and trips to the mall and movies with his friends, etc. His cholestrol at 14 was 249 so I made a choice that he was going to join me in my vegetarian lifestyle. He thanks me for it today and he's now 23 yrs old. I started by making spaghetti with no meat and bean and rice tacos at first. I would make a boca burger and fill the bun with grilled onions along with rice cheese and fresh oven fries on the side. He soon forgot all about meat. I would make him herbal fruit infused sun teas and he soon forgot about milk and Coke too. His cholestrol is now 160 and he's still a vegetarian. Try something like this on your family. Wishing you all the luck, Donna raincloud7480 <raincloud7480 wrote: Hello to All, I can't really call myself a vegetarian yet, but I am working to fix that. I have chosen to become a vegetarian for many reasons, including the cruelty to animals and health reasons. My only problem will be getting my husband and youngest child to go along with me. They are very avid meat eaters, and will not be inclined to change. Any suggestions on that? I don't mind if my husband keeps eating meat every once in a while, but I know that he won't be so open minded about my choice. So now I am off to peruse the past postings. Thank you for approving me into this group, and I will keep everyone updated on my journey. Raincloud
