What is sucanat? Is there a substitution?

Sucanant is a natural form of sugar. The way it is before it's been

bleached and all that. You could just use regular sugar instead if

you're ok with using that.

raw unbleached sugar and it has a little more of a brown sugar taste. My

favorite.

Would it work in place of the Sucanat in a recipe? I've noticed it's a

very heavy granule - I do love it tho:)

When I bake I use regular brown sugar. Turbinado I use in tea if needed, on top

of hot oatmeal or that type thing. I did mix it with flour and make peach

cobbler and it worked well, gave it a better taste.
