Guest guest
Do you like those Quorn Roasts? They are made from a mycoprotein and i find them to be very good. Usually i make them around the holidays to eat when everyone else is having a dead bird. Anyway, i always have leftovers since i am the only one to eat it. Here is a recipe i made as a sandwich spread; it is also good on crackers. i imagine you could use whatever turkey-like vegetarian mock-meat you personally enjoy in this recipe. Almond- " Turkey " Cheese Spread 1 package (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup sour cream 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce [vegetarian] 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1 cup Quorn roast, shredded or finely chopped 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1/2 cup slivered almonds, chopped In a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder until combined. Stir in the Quorn roast, cheddar cheese and almonds. Serve with crackers or as a sandwich spread. Refrigerate leftovers. Yield: about 1 1/2 cups ~ pt ~ *Kroger brand Worcestershire is veggie-friendly, FYI. Pay attention to your enemies, for they are the first to discover your mistakes. ~ Antisthenes
