Guest guest
I was cruising around on www.galaxyfoods.com looking for an answer to my question about freezing the Veggie cheese, and stumbled upon this downloadable 300 page recipe book. It is in .pdf format and the recipes start at about page 100. Now, the recipes all include Veggie brand items, of course, and is designed to promote their products. But there are some pretty interesting recipes in here, so take a look! I copied a few to try (didn't feel like printing 200 pages!) and will report back if I find a good one. http://www.galaxyfoods.com/pdfs/the_7_simple_steps_to_veggiesizing.pdf I'm still working on lowering the amount of cheese in my diet, so this looks good! VEGGIE® CHEDDAR SAUCE Makes 10 Servings 2 cups Veggie Cheddar Shreds 3/4 cup low sodium vegetable broth 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch 2 tablespoons low sodium vegetable broth In a medium stock pot over medium heat, add Veggie Shreds, vegetable broth and garlic powder stirring constantly. In a separate small bowl, combine cornstarch and remaining broth. Slowly add to shred sauce and continue to cook for 5 minutes at same heat. Add more broth as needed to achieve desired thickness.
