veggie pepperoni; was: Going vegetarian

Hey Amanda, there are a few different brands of

vegetarian pepperoni available on the market,

and i have really liked cooking with them.

i wish i could remember the brand names, but i

can't right now. Anyway, i found them in the deli

or cheese section of the regular grocery stores near

where they sell tofu, veggie deli meats and soy cheeses.

Keep a lookout for them; they work great on top of

pizzas and wrapped in stromboli or calzone.

i can write down the brandnames for you next time

i am in the store shopping if you'd like.

Hey Pt!

Thanks for the offer! I have tried various brands of Veggie pepperoni and

most were quite good. For some reason though, the stores around here stopped

carrying it! There was one that I really liked that did not come pre-sliced.

I also don't remember the brand, but it was nice and spicy. I've stayed away

from the Chorizo (as we discussed previously) because there is only one

brand in my area and it is really high in fat.

I'll keep looking for some pepperoni, as we eat a lot of homemade veggie

pizza :-)
