Guest guest Posted January 25, 2002 Report Share Posted January 25, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Delights' Live Barbecue Sauce Recipe By :Imar Hutchins & Dawn Marie Daniels Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 large vine ripened tomatoes 1 cup raisina 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon molasses 1 tablespoon tamari soy sauce 1 teaspoon chili powder 1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring 10 sundried tomatoes -- optional The sundried tomatoes are optional because they are so expensive and sometimes hard to find. If you use them, they give the sauce a richer taste, but it will also be fine without them. If you use them, soak the sundried tomatoes in just enough water to cover them for about 2 hours before beginning. Then combine all of the ingredients in a food processor, using the S blade, processing until it reaches a thick sauce-like consistency. This can be used as a stand alone sauce or as an ingredient in other recipes, such as Nutmeat (page 132). It's best if it has a chance to rest for at least a couple of hours before you use it.
