I'm a Celebrity - Get me out of here - Programme UK

Did anyone watch " I'm a Celebrity Get me out of here " . I wasn't going

to watch this programme, but a friend mentioned that Uri Geller was

taking part, and as it was to do with being on one of the islands off

Australia I thought I would watch it. The celebrities are doing this

for charity whilst they are on the island. They are each given a task

to complete to earn meals for all of them for the next day. Which

celeb and what task they have to do is voted on by the viewers. One

celeb had insects dropped all over her - poor insects!. Anyway, guess

what! Uri Geller is voted on to eat insects and grubs - some dead -

some alive!. He says he has to think hard about this, but eventually

says he will do it!. Tony Blackburn one of the other celebs said to

Uri Geller how could he do it - surely his vegetarian principles

would prevent him from taking on the task, and that he himself would

lose respect for Uri if he did - but no, Uri goes ahead feeling so

responsible for getting food for the others for the next day. He has

to do it for them!

 

I thought to myself watching this programme - surely the other celebs

are not going to die of starvation if they don't get their meal for

that day. They would surely respect his principles. Tony Blackburn

for one I think lost respect for Uri, especially as Uri himself said

that he had been a vegetarian for " 30 years " . Has he not learnt

anything about being a vegetarian in that time. I think not!!!
