Guest guest
I'm not quite keeping up with some of the rest of you with posting what I've been eating lately - sorry about that. However, here's a sample. Having a lovely time eating raw - but today the dh and I decided that we'd like something more familiar, so we did: Today's main meal, at lunchtime, was a lovely curry. See photos and recipe on my blog at: http://beanvegan.blogspot.com/2008/05/potato-pea-and-mushroom-curry.html And for some raw recipes we've had this week, see again at: http://beanvegan.blogspot.com/2008/05/red-river-raw-borscht-cauliflower-salad.ht\ ml Love and hugs, Pat
Guest guest
Hi Pat, For some time now I have been toying with the idea of trying to change over to a completely vegan lifestyle but I keep putting it in the 'too hard basket'. After all, my husband Hans and I are dedicated cheese lovers and, even if I were prepared to give up cheese, he would think his throat had been cut!!! However, paying a return visit to your great blog has made me think about veganism again. Even though we have been vegetarians for longer than I care to think about and I have a son who leads a vegan lifestyle (no animal products at all - food, clothing etc) I still get the nervous twitches when I think about how I would cope with the change to veganism. You have inspired me to try a couple of vegan recipes each week for a start. I am still undecided about whether I should say something to Hans or wait to see if he notices!! I know for a fact that he would never be prepared to totally give up fried or bolied eggs. He usually cooks those himself, mostly for a quick weekend meal, so it wouldn't be too difficult for me to skip the eggs and have toast with hummous or something similar. I must admit that I could take or leave eggs and I choose to 'take' them only because I am often too lazy to prepare something for myself when Hans is cooking eggs. Thank you again for reminding me to look at your blog. It's one of my favourites but for some reason I haven't visited for a while - possibly something to do with still not being properly back in my routine after my recent trip to London.
