Hi Pam -

You say that as a child

> I didn't like the idea of eating animals, and I

> did not like the texture of

> most meat.

Yes, this is the kind of thing that affects some

children and adults and turns them into

vegetarians. Some just don't like the taste

and/or texture of me*t (it is pretty yucky in

itself - it needs things doing to it to make it

even reasonably palatable!) and the idea of

sinking one's teeth into the dead flesh of an

animal - even if they aren't particularly fond of

_all_ animals (if you know what I mean) - can be

rather off-putting.

I get you.

That'll do it every time, eh!

There!!!! Thank you - I knew I'd read that

somewhere - and you posted before Erika, but I

went back to answer some in reverse order for

some quirky reason LOL Yes, good point. Moral

arguments make people twitchy.

I wonder btw if that's the reason so many people

talk about the _health_ benefits of the veggie

way (and there are huge health benefits, indeed!)

rather than the others - even among other

veggies. Hmmmmm. Could have a bit to do with it,

don't you think? I don't mean people aren't being

truthful, but that they are emphasizing one

reason over another equal reason - maybe. Or

maybe it's after ten at night and it's time I got

ready for the sack - had an excruciatingly early

start this morning!

Well good for you!!!! Brave woman you are indeed

:) And congratulations - it's hard to buck the

background you have, farm and all. Thanks so much

for telling us all about this!

Nighty-night all -

Love and hugs, Pat
