* Are you vegetarian (or vegan), still working at

it, or still thinking about it? How long?

 

I am still working on it. I am extremely turned off by the hormones and

antibiotics that are given to meat. I am also concerned about what I have

recently learned about the meat industry and the environment.

 

* Are you the only veggie or wannabe in your

household? How many others?

 

I am the only one. I slipped morningstar veggie hot dogs in last night and he

claimed that " these sausages have no taste " . There is me and the hub, and our 3

girls (ages 5, 3, and 1). My baby WILL NOT eat meat, dairy or eggs. She is

vegan all the way!

 

* Do you do the cooking or is it shared?

I do all the cooking.

I might add that started all this for me was reading the book " Skinny Bitch " .

I would like to loose a little bit of weight before I go to Europe this summer.

I got the book because of the interesting title. The book went into a lot of

detail about the meat industry. Then, I started looking into it. There are a

lot of people who are very passionate about eating meat. When I started talking

about it, people seemed to come out of the woodwork in defense of the ranchers.

 

Ultimately, my goal is better health and weight loss. I've had 3 kids

realtively late in life and a load of stress. I have sought comfort in food and

now I need to loose about 50 pounds.
