Guest guest
I got a Kitchen Aid stand mixer for Christmas a few years ago and I absolutely love it. I use it a lot for making bread and recently got the grain mill attachment so I can grind my own whole grain flour. I have an electric steamer, a rice cooker, and multiple crockpots, but my Kitchen Aid mixer, my blender, and my immersion blender are my most essential small appliances. I bought a Kitchen Aid mixer to speed up breadmaking, and it has improved the final product quite a bit as well. Then yesterday, with a combination of sales, coupons, and a gift card, I bought a combination rice cooker/steamer, a food processor/blender/smoothie maker (with a cool little tap on the side), and some small tools (manual chopper, flour sifter, apple corer). The rice cooker and blender came with some good recipes to try out, so I'm going to work my way through those. The recipes that came with the Kitchen Aid were all no good, with the gluten-free, casein-free thing, but I have lots of recipes available already. http://flickr.com/photos/kristinnoelle/ Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
My mom got me a Nutrimill grain mill for Christmas! Since I am cooking so much with " alternative " flours, it will be helpful in cutting down costs, as well as improving nutrition.
