Guest guest
Hi Marie, Welcome to the group. I could hardly resist welcoming another Marie could I? I have lived in the Netherlands since 1998 but, believe it or not, I am an expat South Australian so we share more than just a name. My home town is Adelaide and I have lived both south of the city (Highgate) and north (Para Hills). Any time you feel like sending me a supply of Glenelg sand or some fresh eucalyptus-scented air from the Adelaide Hills or the Flinders Ranges please feel free to do so!!!!!!!!!! Right now I would also give pretty much anything for a trip to my old stamping ground - the dear old Adelaide Central Market. Cheers from Marie in Haarlem, Netherlands For ideas on reducing your carbon footprint visit For Good this month.

Guest guest
Hi Marie, I'm sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. I have been in the UK on holiday. Well, believe it or not I actually know the Riverland quite well. When I lived in Australia I worked for the ATO as a small business advisor. I used to go all over the state giving lectures to groups of people contemplating setting up new small businesses. I have worked in most of the larger Riverland towns including Renmark, Berri, Loxton, Waikerie, Barmera etc as well as the Barossa Valley, the Clare Valley, the Iron Triangle, Port Augusta, Port Pirie, Tumby Bay, Port Lincoln and as far west as Ceduna. One of my best friends is a direct descendant of the Chaffeys - in fact her maiden name was Chaffey - so I guess of all the Riverland towns I probably know Renmark best. I even still have a couple of jumpers I bought thousands of years ago at Fosseys in Renmark. Cheers from Marie Sent from & #45; a smarter inbox.
