Hi there Melinda - welcome! And congratulations on your decision to become

vegetarian ;) You won't regret it, I promise!

 

You write:

Wow - lucky you to have such a sensible doctor! Worth her weight in gold,

I'd say :) You don't mention having weight problems, so I won't assume.

But

remember, just in case, that when you look at recipes from other groups

not all vegetarian recipes are 'slimming' (many are too high in fat/oil,

and

the dessert recipes too high in added sugar) nor are they all 'healthy'.

OK,

off my soapbox now ;)

 

You might also want to look into some specialized veggie diets designed

for arthritis sufferers. It's mostly a matter of what foods to avoid. I

know

Dr Neal Barnard has a section in one or more of his books on how to

alleviate arthritis, and other members might recall more such information?
