Guest guest
Hi! I am a new member here. My name is Marian and I am Junior at a small university in east Texas (English major, Music Theory minor). I am currently enjoying my last year as a teenager. I have been a practicing vegetarian since spring break of my freshman year (a little over one year, 7 months), and of course I love it. I share my dorm suite with two wonderful roommates who are happy meat-eaters (I only know of one or two other vegetarian students on campus, and a handful of faculty). For the most part, we do our own cooking (or eat out), but occasionally we have group suppers. If I cook, I make a vegetarian meal, and when they cook, they are usually very polite about providing a meat-free alternative. The cafeteria also provides a vegetarian dish during lunch and dinner for the handful of us who are brave enough to try it. Eating is, of course, a big issue for me. Being a college student (and waist-deep in the hardest semester of my life), I don't always have the time or the money to watch my diet and exercise. I also have very limited cooking experience. However, I sincerely try to eat right and lose (or at least maintain) weight. All support and tips are welcome. Thanks, Marian
