Guest guest Posted July 12, 2007 Report Share Posted July 12, 2007 Dear Pat and Cindi, I am a newbie to the group, and to vegetarianism. I stopped eating red meat. I will have some daily, but I mostly eat soy products and drink soy milk. I will occasionally have chicken and fish, so I'm not totally vegetarian yet but I'm working my way there. I have to ease into things slowly. That was how I was able to stop smoking 7 1/2 years ago, by easing myself out of it. I also need to lose some weight. I decided that this is a very healthy way to accomplish that. Weight loss aside, who couldn't use the benefits of more fruits and veggies? It's a win-win situation as I see it. I also buy mostly organic food, and usually only buy non- organic if I absolutely don't have a choice at the grocery store. I was wondering if you have any recommendations for your favorite books for new vegetarians? My name is Carol, and I live in Annapolis, Maryland.
