Welcome to Vegetarian Slimming, Tonya!

 

And first of all congratulations on your decision to become vegetarian - it's

not a decision you will regret, I promise you! If you have any questions

about appropriate things to eat as a vegetarian, just shout out and we will

try to help. Many here have been vegetarian either all their lives or all their

adult lives, from all parts of the world, so there is no shortage of expertise

:)

 

Have a look through our Files for Recipes - there are lots of things there to

give you good ideas. I assume that you are also wanting to lose weight (for

this IS a low-fat slimming group for vegetarians), so you'll see that we ask

for recipes suitable for weight loss, low in fat, and, of course, 'tried and

true'

by the person sending them in. That way, you can be sure that each recipe

really works!!! (There's also a section for non-slimming recipes, that come

in handy for those special occasions when you must cook for someone else

who is vegetarian but not watching their weight.)

 

You don't say whether you are ovo-lacto or lacto or vegan, but there's a

mixture of all three in the Files, many of them so marked. Also, the Links

section has proved invaluable to many - worth a visit!

 

Finally, have fun here! Write in often, let us know how you are going, and

join in the general chitchat, eh?
