Guest guest
Hello Dragon and welcome! Sorry to hear about your accident and weight gain but it sounds as if you are now in a place to do something to get yourself healthier and in better shape. 24 years vegetarian ~ that's great! I'm sure you will have lots of sage advice to offer our group. :-) Cindi, co-owner with Pat The Dragon <dragonsteeluk wrote: VEGETARIAN SLIMMING QUESTIONNAIRE Please tell us a little about yourself so we can know you a bit better: To get you started, why not tell us: * your name or nickname - Hilary Syddall aka The Dragon * where you live (continent, region or city, whatever) - Cambridge, UK * your age group - teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s or more (congratulations!)? - Life, the Universe and Everything (ok 42!) Also: * Are you vegetarian (or vegan), still working at it, or still thinking about it? How long? - Vegetarian for 24 years * Are you the only veggie or wannabe in your household? How many others? - I'm the only full veggie - DH is too fond of bacon sarnies! but he also is really fond of veggie stuff so eats a lot of it * Do you do the cooking or is it shared? - shared with DH doing the lion's share :-( WAIT! Anything else you would like to tell us? This is your Big Chance!!! I am disabled after a road accident about 13 years ago - at this point I piled 13 stone (182 pounds) on due to steroids and being unable to walk (or well move much at all!). The docs have cleared me to swim again at long last (they were not sure if with the Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome in the right ankle I was also doing more damage to it!) I have a tendency to under eat and the doctors kept telling me to decrease my daily calories - I eventually took my food and exercise diary along and they apologised as they realised that for someone weighing in at 320 pounds (nearly 23 stone) or indeed for anyone an average of 300 calories a day is not really enough :-) Anyway anything else you want to know just ask!
