Guest guest
Maryann asked, " What are some ideas for things my daughter can take to school for lunch that do not include wheat? (She is allergic to wheat). " I am sure you can find specialty breads that do not contain wheat and still give her " regular " sandwiches. I am pretty sure that ordinary rye bread is made with only rye flour and no wheat, but read the labels. Wheat is a common allergen and most food companies will list it if present, to avoid lawsuits. I see all kinds of specialty breads at Whole Foods. It is possible that some of the gluten-free products at health food stores are also wheat free. I would take a look at the recipes on http://veganlunchbox.com/recipes.html. Replace any pasta with, eg. , rice or spelt pasta. Just look at ALL recipes with the idea of replacing any wheat products with an alternative. ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ from Maida Please sign the petition to Allow Pets in Privately Owned Dwellings.
