Guest guest Posted June 11, 2007 Report Share Posted June 11, 2007 Yesterday was my first real challenge. I had an anniversary luncheon party to go to, followed by a dinner. So, I ate some green beans before I left for the party and I put some cherries in my purse. At the luncheon, in addition to meat they had cooked green beans, tomato and cucumber salad, lettuce salad and roasted potatoes. So, I ate those things. Unfortunately, everything was drowned in oil, but at least I had no meat, dairy or eggs. Then, for dinner, the restaurant had a salad with small bits of falafal broken up in it, with tahini for dressing, so I had that. I also had grilled, skewered zucchini, tomato and onion and also stewed eggplant, bell peppers, onions and tomatoes. Again, I had no meat, dairy or eggs. I also had no champagne and no cake. And nobody even noticed or asked me why, which was good. Today, I gained a pound. Darn, I was right at 200 and hoping to hit 199 today. I guess the food had a lot of sodium, not to mention all the oil. I felt good that I stayed vegetarian, tho! Hopefully, I will take it off in a couple days.
