Guest guest
I realize I forgot to say what (little) I do. Sorry, everyone. I have a mobility problem, but this last half year I have been able to walk without using a cane - much better for me, although a hassle at the beginning. I said to my dh that going down the street without my cane was like 'flying without a net' (which won't mean much to most of you but evokes a circus movie of the '50s where a couple of the trapeze artists 'flew' without). Anyway, I am better at it now, and I regularly walk four or five miles a day. (I tried doing a mile more, but it was too much too soon.) Thanks to my local library, I also discovered exercise videos, which are fun to watch but . . . . LOL However, as Alizah just wrote: > Walk Aerobics DVD's by Leslie Sansone are very non threatening and on different levels..They are 30 minutes for the most part. I just got one of her walk aerobics videos! - for older people. (I guess I qualify at 66.) It's great! Right now I do it in addition to the outside walking, but I can see that it would be great on a nasty day in winter! I must see some of her others and figure out which ones to order. Any other suggestions??? I really am impressed by those of you who have responded - I think it's great all the exercise you're getting! Nice work! Guest guest
Pat, What " little " you do 4-5 five miles of walking is tremendous. I feel like a bum now. I barely get in 30 minutes a day. As for the Leslie videos I think the 3 mile would be good for you or if your health allows even the walk and jog one that is 30 minutes. Steph Sick sense of humor?
