I RUN my household! I am a mother or 2 elementary kids, a Realtor (full-time), a house keeper, wife, counselor, etc. I have 2 pets that no one else can clean up after nor themselves! ha ha. I am too about 40 pounds over weight and I have no thyroid function at all (on synthroid) and am always on the run. I hear it from my kids too, but due to my thyroid, I have to diet twice as hard, work out twice as hard in order to lose any weight. I am looking forward to my new vegetarian diet and hope that it will help me.

There's another one called Nature-Throid that's made from sheep thyroid (which was the NEXT one my doctor suggested!) Just my 'public service announcement' of the day. I've found quite a number of people who've written that the synthetic thyroid hormones did not " work " for them. What I plan to do is ask to try the synthetic first but if I gain weight and have other symptoms that show that the synthetic is not doing the job, I'll have to go with a " natural " one. My health is too important not to. I love animals and hate to have to do it, but I cannot tolerate becoming more overweight and the harmful effects it would have on my general health. Martyrdom is not my thing! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can use the synthetic. I still won't eat animal flesh or most bi-products but medicine is unfortunately a necessity. Don't be flakey.
