Guest guest
Welcome, Jeanine, and congrats on your decision to become vegetarian! > I was looking back a few post and I > saw the one about posting what you eat, I am looking forward to > getting invovled in that. I will start soon. Good idea - that needs reviving with more people participating > As far as milk and eggs goes, Im stil up in the air. I still need > protein. Well, there are good reasons, for the sake of the animals (since you mention that) not to touch eggs or dairy either. But that's another topic. Your point here is that you need them for protein since you can't eat nuts, right? Please read the few posts just before this one where we are discussing this exact issue. Those who eat no animal products whatsovever get their protein without eggs and dairy, and many of them eat no nuts either - either because they are avoiding the fat in nuts for medical reasons (yes yes, I know it's the 'good' fat, but some can't have that either, so I'm mentioning it here, especially since this is a low-fat group) or because they have an allergy to nuts. > I can't eat nuts like I used to.... Or peanut butter... > Though I am gonna try and see what happens.... I get bad headaches > from them.... But Im gonna give it a try and see.... Please don't! If you get headaches from nuts you really should leave them alone. You don't need to make yourself ill just to prove that you want to be a vegetarian. There are many other foods out there. Truly. > I am looking > forward to getting to know all of you! Likewise Write in lots and let us know how you're doing!
