Guest guest
Welcome Pam! We will support you as bad as possible! It is quite easy to fall into habit of eating non-healthy vegetarian meals! Has your sons dietary health leveled off now? We have a lot of great slimming recipes in our files so please check them out and feel free to post any favorites you come across as well as anything else you'd like to chat about! Hubby is a stay-at-home homeschooling dad, so he takes care of lunches for him and DS. I usually cook supper, but sometimes he helps out with a veg pizza, macaroni, or french toast. > > WAIT! My DS has some special needs, we have had to deal with nutrition issues with him, particularly with a fatty acid deficiency and some other nutrients that he was not getting enough of/needed more than the usual. Since when we first started to deal with this, he was only 4 yo and would not eat anything I was not eating, I had to stop eating fat-free and vegan. However, the pounds have crept on, and for the second time in four years I find myself carrying an unhealthy amount of weight and needing to lose it again. Last time it was easier. This time it is more stubborn or I am more impatient. I am currently reading " Eat More Weigh Less " (and a number of other books) and have decided that as well as watching portion size and increasing exercise, I had better start paying more attention to what it is that I am eating. So here I am! Support me! Pam > .
Guest guest
Yes, DS is in a pretty good place now with his diet, though we do need to make adjustments now and then to his supplements or help him get off of a food jag. He will at least eat different things than I do now and is pretty good at making healthy choices, except for a tendency to load up on carbs. I am trying to teach him right now about portion sizes and get him to have a reasonable portion size, and if he is still hungry to select a food from another foodgroup and have a portion of that. Otherwise, he will eat three bites of dinner, and then go for eight cups of popcorn .. . . Pam On 3/7/07, Cindi <cindi93069 wrote: > Welcome Pam! > > We will support you as bad as possible!
