I understand that you're not vegetarian, but ya never know *giggle* perhaps we can change that, eh? (OK, OK, no pressure! But oh my the food is wonderful and we do have some great recipes!) Eating less me*t IS a large step along the road. And not to worry - there are lots of other non-vegetarians on this group, like yourself, who are trying to keep or get healthy. But it is, of course, a vegetarian group - we don't talk about me*t. I'm sorry to hear about your diabetes. That - frankly - sucks. We have diabetes in my family too, and although I'm not near it myself, I am watchful of what I eat - well, most of the time Vegan diets are highly recommended for diabetics, not only to lose weight but to keep the diabetes at bay. Something to think about further down the track anyway Well, lots of luck with your weight loss - we'll help/advise all we can - so sing out if you need help finding good things to eat.
