Hi there, Bonnie :)

 

Nice to meet another dog lover! (We have two beagles.)

 

I understand that you're not vegetarian, but ya never know *giggle* perhaps we

can change that, eh? (OK, OK, no pressure! But oh my the food is wonderful and

we do have some great recipes!) Eating less me*t IS a large step along the road.

And not to worry - there are lots of other non-vegetarians on this group, like

yourself, who are trying to keep or get healthy. But it is, of course, a

vegetarian

group - we don't talk about me*t.

 

I'm sorry to hear about your diabetes. That - frankly - sucks. We have diabetes

in my family too, and although I'm not near it myself, I am watchful of what I

eat

- well, most of the time :) Vegan diets are highly recommended for diabetics,

not only to lose weight but to keep the diabetes at bay. Something to think

about

further down the track anyway :)

 

Well, lots of luck with your weight loss - we'll help/advise all we can - so

sing out

if you need help finding good things to eat.
