Another chance at a brand new year (for those who have already broken their New

Year

resolutions for 2007) and a great reason for everyone to celebrate!

Lunar year 4704-4705, DingHal, The Year of the Pig begins tomorrow 18 February.

Is

anyone celebrating in a big way? A small way? And what are you doing to mark the

occasion? Does your city/town have a parade?

Pig Years: 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019, 2031

Pig personality traits:

Intellectually curious, honest and tolerant, those born in the Year of the Pig

can be relied

upon for their loyalty and often make true friends for life. . . .

My new year started January 1st and February 21st marks the beginning of Lent.

I will be observing that.

Ah well, then, in the spirit of things, have a wonderful Mardi Gras / Fat

Tuesday / Pancake

Day on the 20th :)

Anybody else planning to mark this coming Tuesday in a traditional way?

Hi Pat,

I was born in 1959.... So it is my year. What better way to renew my

resolution to live a happy and healthy life then celebrating " The Year

of the Pig. "

Enjoy,

Thanks - will be enjoying pancakes - though they aren't recommended for

slimming, that's for sure!

Indeed, and think how many pigs and other non-human animals you'll make

happy and keep well by doing it the vegetarian way! A great resolution! :)
