I have been keeping things low fat although I do have a slice of avocado most days. Got through Christmas-holidays and even ate some delicious vegan cookies I made. I think the biggest and best change I made was trying to cook all my own meals from basic ingredients. Too many hidden ingredients in restaurant store bought foods Sharon
Guest guest
Hi Pat and everybody else, Thanks for all your kind words of welcome. (-: Here are my two cents regarding diets: Three years ago I went on a diet to combat thrush (Candida). It was pretty tough but amazing: No sugar, no white flour, no yeast, one green apple a day, no soy, only legumes and brown rice, potatoes once a week, and only organic goat milk products. Of course, I ate everything while counting calories but did not go crazy. I also walked an hour a day, 4 times a week. It was difficult at first but I got into it after a while and lost 110 pounds in a year and a half. Downside? I went back to eating junk and gained back quite a lot but I'm on my way back now, trying to combine low-fat/lowcarb vegetarian with Weight Watchers. It's a lifelong battle... Wishing you all a great weekend, Rinat _____
